Here at Wright’s, we are determined to do what we can to help the environment.

Here are a few examples of how we actively “think green” at our store:

  • Reducing the use of paper and plastic products
  • Reuse office supplies
  • Recycle cardboard, glass, paper, plastic and other various packing materials – Average 2500 lbs. of cardboard recycled monthly
  • Using as little of packaging as possible by reusing boxes and packaging from shipping for small item customer loadouts and using only reusable fabric blankets for deliveries
  • Using low watt lights throughout the showroom and warehouse and a low voltage lighting system
  • Using motion sensitive lights outside our building and warehouse
  • Aligning ourselves with Green manufacturers using the same goals to be environmentally friendly
  • Offering high-quality hand-crafted products for every room that are made in the USA from local craftsmen and eco-friendly manufactures
  • We participate in the annual Clean the Fish Event in Whitefish by donating our time and trucks to help pick up trash and trash bags collected and deliver them to the dump. Keeping the community clean is something we are proud to do

Listed below are a few of our favorite tips for being eco-friendly at home:

  • Buy local as much as you can to support your community. Shopping locally will help reduce your carbon footprint because often buying straight from local businesses can have little to no packaging. For example, at Wright’s we use repurpose packaging and boxes if customers need it for taking home small items and we use only use reusable packing blankets for deliveries. Local businesses also often offer many locally made and eco-friendly products.
  • Use energy efficient light bulbs. They give off nice light, last longer and use less energy. We use energy efficient LED light bulbs in the Wright’s Showroom to light up the table and floor lamps on display.
  • Reuse and repurpose as much as you can. Finding ways to repurpose glass jars, wine bottles and wood pallets is a perfect way to give those items new life. Accessorize with vases you have made from glass jars or tins, build flower planters using wood pallets or use cardboard for décor craft projects with the kids. Our discontinued fabric samples from our design center are donated to local sewers and crafters who make them into bags and other accessories.
  • Invest in products that are high quality. If they are made well, they are far more likely to last longer, and not need to be replaced as often as lower quality alternatives. Handcrafted products not only have a special look and feel but are also made in an eco-friendlier manner.
  • Invest in sustainable products like glass, stainless steel or bamboo for your home. These products are more durable and better for your health since they are BPA free.
